Allison Rhyne is Director of Development at the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). Rhyne leads a team of eight development professionals who work with more than 300 donors to raise financial resources for the Foundation and its programs – donors range from major restaurant and foodservice companies to individuals. In 2016, she helped secure a $2 million contract with the U.S. Department of Labor to launch the industry’s first ever restaurant management apprenticeship program.
Founded in 1987, the NRAEF is dedicated to providing people from all backgrounds the training, education, financial resources and career development they need to build pathways to meaningful jobs and careers in the restaurant and foodservice industry. The Foundation and its supporters share a mission to attract, empower and advance today’s and tomorrow’s restaurant and foodservice leaders.
Through its portfolio of industry-leading programs, the NRAEF has pledged to train and prepare more than 370,000 people for meaningful jobs and careers in the restaurant and foodservice industry over the next five years. Each program provides exploration, career mapping and training toward a broad spectrum of competencies and skills essential for the industry to grow its workforce from 14.6 million to 16.3 million by 2027.
Rhyne joined the NRAEF in 2015 as Manager of Major Gifts, and in 2017 she received the prestigious President’s Award from Dawn Sweeney, President and CEO of the National Restaurant Association and NRAEF for her leadership and dedication to the mission of the Foundation. Prior to joining the NRAEF she served as an Inside Sales Representative at Cvent, a leading global meeting, event and travel technology company.
Rhyne holds a Bachelor of Arts in public policy analysis from Duke University.
